A. 英語寫作入門：怎樣寫短篇小說

首先你的英文必須過關

其次，你必須明確你要寫的小說內容是什麼，先構思好大體，然後再進行補充內容

然後，開局你可以設一個謎團，或是一個悲慘的開局，或是一段美好的歷史回顧，據此吸引讀者，小說的情節得跌宕起伏、扣人心弦,讓讀者跟著情節走，結尾可以解開謎團，或令人嘆息，或令人感動

之後，樓主在寫的過程中要添加不少細節，樓主可以看看名家大作英文版的

最後，本人並不認同寫英文小說，如果樓主是為了提高英語水平可以換換其他做法，僅僅是為了寫小說可以先中文入手，然後再用自己扎實的英文功底將其翻譯准確無誤

While literary theorists have for centuries characterised and counted the basic plots and structures that writers use in stories, it's unlikely there's ever been such a rigorousscientific analysis of English fiction like this before.

By analysing the sentimentof language used in chunks of text 10,000 words long in each of these texts, the researchers were able to registerthe emotional ups and downs for the stories as a whole. Negativewords like "poverty", "dead", and "punishment" dragged the sentiment down, while positiveterms like "love", "peace", and "friend" brought it up.

1、海明威——美國小說家。1954年諾貝爾文學獎獲得者。
《橋邊的老人》——現實主義短篇小說——「冰山理論」
美國大詩人弗羅斯特在海明威用獵槍自殺的次日作了恰如其分的描述：「他堅韌，不吝惜人生；他堅韌，不吝惜自己。……值得我們慶幸的是，他給了自己足夠的時間顯示了他的偉大。他的風格主宰了我們講述長長短短的故事的方法。我依然記得我想對碰上的每一個人大聲朗誦《殺人者》的那股痴迷勁。他是我將永遠懷念的朋友。舉國上下沉浸在哀痛之中。」
海明威早期的長篇小說《太陽照樣升起》（1927）、《永別了，武器》（1927）成為表現美國「迷惘的一代」的主要代表作。50年代後，他塑造了以桑提亞哥為代表的「可以把他消滅，但就是打不敗他」的「硬漢性格」（代表作中篇小說《老人與海》1950）。
在藝術上，他那簡約有力的文體和多種現代派手法的出色運用，在美國文學中曾引起過一場「文學革命」，許多歐美作家都明顯受到了他的影響。

長篇：《阿爾謝尼耶夫的一生》，被高爾基譽為「當代優秀的文體家」。1933年，「由於他嚴謹的藝術才能，使俄羅斯古典傳統在散文中得到繼承」，蒲寧獲得諾貝爾文學獎。
5、馬克西姆·高爾基——前蘇聯無產階級偉大作家。

《伊則吉爾老婆子》是高爾基早期浪漫主義代表作。

6保羅·戈埃羅巴西作家，被認為是繼馬爾克斯之後最受世人歡迎的拉美作家。他的被譽為當代經典的《煉金術士》又名為《牧羊少年奇幻之旅》。評論家把這本書譽作是一部影響讀者心靈一輩子的現代經典。美國出版的英文版封面介紹文字稱：「能夠徹底改變一個人一生的書籍，或許幾十年才出現一本，您所面對的正是這樣的一本書。」美國圖書館協會將該書推薦為「青少年最佳讀物」。法國文化部部長將保羅・戈埃羅稱為「數百萬讀者心中的煉金術士」。

9、志賀直哉
《清兵衛與葫蘆》——現實主義短篇小說——【日本】志賀直哉
志賀直哉（1883-1971年），日本著名小說家，被日本評論家譽為「小說之神」。1904年發表處女作《菜花與少女》。1910年，與有島武郎、有島生馬等共同創辦《白樺》雜志，圍繞於這個刊物的一些年輕作家與美術家，對當時主張純客觀主義的自然主義文藝思潮不滿，要求肯定積極的人性，主張尊重個性，發揮人的意志的作用，提倡人道主義與理想主義的文學，形成「白樺」一派。志賀直哉為「白樺」派代表作家之一， 「白樺」派成為日本現代文學中一個重要的流派。
10.海因利希·伯爾
《在橋邊》——現實主義短篇小說——【德國】海因利希·伯爾，1972年獲諾貝爾文學獎
主要作品有《正點到達》（德國「廢墟文學」的代表作）、《小丑之見》（德國「不順從文學」的重要作品）和短篇小說集《流浪人,你若到斯巴……》等。1971年發表的《與一位女士的合影》(《以一個婦女為中心的群像》）是其全部創作的結晶，獲次年的諾貝爾文學獎。
11伊塔洛·卡爾維諾（1923-1985）是義大利當代最具世界影響的作家之一。
《牲畜林》——現實主義短篇小說——【義大利】卡爾維諾
是當代歐洲文學大師之一。他的父母都是僑居拉丁美洲的義大利人。卡爾維諾生於古巴，2歲時回到義大利，後畢業於都靈大學文學系。他在第二次世界大戰期間參加抵抗運動，他的第一部長篇小說《通向蜘蛛巢的小徑》就是根據這段經歷寫成的。不久這部作品得了獎，他就此步入文壇。卡爾維諾當過新聞記者，後來從事兒童文學編輯工作。他的主要作品有：《一個分成兩半的子爵》、《阿根廷螞蟻》、《不存在的騎士》等等。他的作品獨具一格，擅長用童話的方式來寫小說。所以他的小說也可以說是童話。除了寫小說，卡爾維諾還像德國的格林兄弟一樣，收集編寫民間故事。卡爾維諾走遍義大利，付出了兩年時間的辛勤勞動，終於編寫出一部《義大利童話》，這部《義大利童話》可以和安徒生、格林兄弟的童話媲美。
12斯特林堡

斯特林堡是瑞典文學史上最傑出的小說家和戲劇家，被譽為「瑞典第一位具有世界影響的作家」他的作品在瑞典國內被視為寶貴的民族遺產，在其它國家也受到不少人的推崇。斯特林堡是瑞典自然主義文學的奠基人，歐洲表現主義和象徵主義的先驅。代表作有戲劇《到大馬士革去》小說《紅房子》等，他還曾創作了瑞典文學史上優秀的自傳體長篇小說《女僕的兒子》（4卷），以描寫群島風光而著名的中篇小說《海姆斯島上的居民》，被認為是「歐洲自然主義劇作的典範」的《朱麗小姐》和《債主》，以及中篇小說《在海邊》等。
13艾薩克.什維斯.辛格，1978年獲諾貝爾文學獎
《山羊茲拉特》——現實主義短篇小說——【美】艾薩克.什維斯.辛格
艾薩克·什維斯·辛格，美國著名猶太作家，1904年，辛格生於當時在沙俄統治下的波蘭。1935年，辛格追隨哥哥來到美國。辛格在美國以當編輯和寫作為生，1943年他加入了美國國籍。辛格一生出版了九部長篇小說、十部短篇小說集、兩部劇本、十六本兒童故事集。曾先後兩次榮獲美國圖書獎，其中一次是獎給他的兒童文學創作的。辛格被稱為當代最會講故事的作家。1978年獲諾貝爾文學獎。1991年，辛格去世。

15博爾赫斯
《沙之書》——魔幻現實主義短篇小說——【阿根廷】博爾赫斯，20世紀短篇
小說大師
博爾赫斯（1899～1986）阿根廷詩人、小說家兼翻譯家，被稱為是「影響歐美文學的第一位拉丁美洲作家」。生於布宜諾斯艾利斯一個有英國血統的律師家庭。1950年至1953年間任阿根廷作家協會主席。1955年任國立圖書館館長、布宜諾斯艾利斯大學哲學文學系教授。1950年獲阿根廷國家文學獎，1961年獲西班牙的福門托獎，1979年獲西班牙的塞萬提斯獎。
成名作：《小徑分岔的花園》（短篇小說）。小說特色：敘述干凈利落，文字精煉，構思奇特，結構精巧，小說情節常在東方異國情調的背景中展開，荒誕離奇且充滿幻想，帶有濃重的神秘色彩。
重要作品有詩集《布宜諾斯艾利斯的激情》《面前的月亮》《聖馬丁牌練習簿》《陰影頌》《老虎的金黃》《深沉的玫瑰》，短篇小說集《惡棍列傳》《小徑分岔的花園》《阿萊夫》《死亡與羅盤》《布羅迫埃的報告》等。還譯有卡夫卡、福克納等人的作品。
16弗蘭茨·卡夫卡，奧地利小說家
《騎桶者》——荒誕派短篇小說——【奧地利】弗蘭茨.卡夫卡，現代派文學的鼻祖。長篇：《城堡》《審判》；短篇：《變形記》。
1904年（21歲）開始利用工作之餘的時間進行寫作，他不以發表、成名為目的，只是想用寫作來解除內心的苦悶。主要作品為三部長篇小說《城堡》《審判》《美國》和短篇小說《變形記》《判決》《地洞》《飢餓的藝術家》等，且生前大多未發表，卡夫卡被共認為是西方現代派文學的鼻祖（奠基人），是歐洲表現主義文學的代表作家。
卡夫卡筆下描寫的都是生活在下層的小人物，他們在這充滿矛盾、扭曲變形的世界裡惶恐，不安，孤獨，迷惘，遭受壓迫而不敢反抗，也無力反抗，嚮往明天又看不到出路。
卡夫卡生活在奧匈帝國行將崩潰的時代，又深受尼采、柏格森哲學影響，對政治事件也一直抱旁觀態度，故其作品大都用變形荒誕的形象和象徵直覺的手法，表現被充滿敵意的社會環境所包圍的孤立、絕望的個人，成為席捲歐洲的「現代人的困惑」的集中體現，並在歐洲掀起了一陣又一陣的「卡夫卡熱」。
《變形記》通過寫小職員格里高爾突然變成一隻使家人都厭惡的大甲蟲的荒誕情節，表現現代社會把人變成奴隸乃至「非人」的「異化」現象。
《城堡》寫土地丈量員K在象徵神秘權力或無形枷鎖統治的城堡面前欲進不能、欲退不得，看得到城堡卻永遠到不了城堡，只能坐以待斃。
《審判》借銀行職員約瑟夫·K莫明其妙被「捕」又莫明其妙被殺害的荒誕事件，揭露資本主義社會司法制度腐敗及其反人民的本質。
《地洞》借小動物防備敵害的膽戰心理，表現資本主義社會小人物時刻難以自保的精神狀態和在充滿敵意的環境中的孤立絕望的情緒。

J. 長篇小說，中篇小說，短篇小說用英語怎麼說

字數的多少，是區別長篇、中篇、短篇小說的一個因素，但不是惟一的因素。人們通常把幾千字到兩萬字的小說稱為短篇小說，三萬字到十萬字的小說稱為中篇小說，十萬字以上的稱為長篇小說。這只是就字數而言的，其實，長、中、短篇小說的區別，主要是由作品反映生活的范圍、作品的容量來決定的。長篇小說容量最大，最廣闊，篇幅也比較長，具有比較復雜的結構，它一般是通過比較多的人物和紛繁的事件來表現社會生活的，如《紅樓夢》。中篇小說反映生活的范圍雖不像長篇那樣廣闊，但也能反映出一定廣度的生活面，它的人物的多寡、情節的繁簡介於長篇與短篇之間，如《人到中年》。短篇小說的特點是緊湊、短小精悍，它往往只寫了一個或很少幾個人物，描寫了生活的一個片斷或插曲。短篇小說所反映的生活雖不及長篇、中篇廣闊，但也同樣是完整的，有些還具有深刻、豐富的社會意義。
