第一次看这篇是在《史蒂芬.金的故事贩卖机》里，后来也是和其他看过的人交流，才知道它之前被译成《思动》，一个扣题，一个意味深，觉得都很好，看SK的故事总是需要反反复复地琢磨，这篇也不例外。你说的这个感觉其实就是SK想营造的效果，试想一下有什么比科学中出现的意外更让人好奇却又恐惧的呢？想想爆炸的宇宙飞船，想想《地心引力》里九死一生的宇航员，总之我是试想一下自己是他们就害怕的不行，这个故事其实抓住的就是这种心理，为什么主人公明知道过去已经有人被“永恒”吓疯了还故意逃避麻醉想要体验一下？也是因为这种心理，所谓“永恒”，我觉得它并不只是一片空白，这片空白只是想掩盖人在永恒中的看似毫无变化。其实在“永恒”中，人的思维会延伸出去很久很久，这就造成了一个人看起来是个孩子，但是却有老者的思维，细思极恐 所以，你以为跳特是白跳的吗？
